Ready to take a big step forward ? - training for young environmental leaders 2003-2004
The young environmentalists of Central and Eastern Europe have the potential to be the leaders of tomorrow. The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) has teamed up with Italian NGO L'Umana DiMora to establish a comprehensive Training for Young Environmental Leaders programme.

Scarabeo 2004 - the first European Youth Award for waste management.The aim of the project is to acknowledge the best projects by young Europeans to avoid and separate waste. This Viennese initiative intends not only to strengthen young people's environment consciousness, but also to promote imaginative ideas on avoiding and reducing waste.
